Vision: To expand the Kingdom of God in Africa as individuals, families, and entire villages accept the redeeming power of Jesus Christ.
Mission: To reach the unreached people groups in Africa by training and sending missionaries to even in the most remote areas and supporting their work there.
Training missionaries takes place at Harbingers Bible and Missionary Training Institute in Kaptagat, Kenya. There, our passionate instructors and staff educate each new generation of students in evangelism, literacy, character development, and practical skills such as carpentry, agriculture, and basic health care. Before graduating, students must spend a semester planting an actual church in an unreached or underserved area.
After graduation, many of students choose to become full-time Harbingers missionaries in the Harbinger network of churches. The ministry currently has four
main mission outreach bases or hubs: East Pokot County in Kenya, Loruth, Kenya, the Nuba Mountains of Sudan, and Narus, South Sudan.
Each base is in an unreached area where the missionaries plant and lead numerous churches and in some cases elementary schools in the surrounding bush and villages. Several missionaries have also planted churches in areas where Harbingers does not
have a mission hub. Mombasa, Kenya and Maasai territory are two examples of those outreaches.
So that all missionaries can preach the gospel and disciple their flocks, financial support is provided to them. That support is only made possible because generous donors give to keep the mission alive and growing.
